To beat Monday blues we are sharing the most famous flat bread from the Indian Khaan-paan: The tasty Naan.
RECIPE CARD FOR NAAN :
INGREDIENTS:
- Maida: 1/2 kg
- Ajwain: 1 tea spoon
- Garlic: 4 cloves
- Butter
- Baking Soda/Yeast: 1 tea spoon
- Curd: 1/2 cup
- Oil: 4 table spoon
- Salt
METHOD:
Preparation Of Dough :
- Take maida, baking soda, salt in a bowl and mix it well.
- Add curd to it.
- Add adequate water to it to make the dough soft.
- Pour oil over the dough and keep it in an air tight container for about 3-4 hours (This is for fermentation of the dough).
Preparation Of Naan :
- Make dough balls.
- Roll the balls.
- Drop grated garlic and Ajwain over it.
- Roll it again so that the the garlic and Ajwain sticks to it.
- Flip the Naan and Spread water on the side opposite to the grated garlic.
- Now on a low flame drop the watered part of the naan on the pan.
- Now fry the other other side of the naan directly on the flame.
- Once the naan gets fried apply butter on any one side.
- Now your Naan is ready to be served.
