MASALA KADLE

When it rains outside the best way to pass your time to much on some small snacks!! At Kasturi, we have introduced a new product under our collection of Oil Seeds: Kasturi Groundnuts. Available in packs of 500g and 1000g for your snack time as you spend some family time with fun and chit chat indoors and enjoy the weather. Add them to your dishes, make sweets and snacks or eat them raw.

Masala Kadle or Masala groundnuts is a very popular evening tea-time snack from the Indian state of Karnataka. Loaded with some strong flavours, masalas and the strong fragrance of Kasturi asafoetida or Hing, these Masala groundnuts are the perfect snack to munch away. To make this with us, do follow the recipe card below.

HOW TO MAKE MASALA GROUNDNUTS:

INGREDIENTS:

  • Groundnut : 1 Kg
  • Besan: 1/4 cup
  • Corn Flour: 1/4 cup
  • Chilli Powder: 4 Table Spoon
  • Asafoetida water: 1 Table Spoon
  • Salt
  • Oil For frying

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

  • Soak the groundnuts in water for 5 minutes.
  • Take out all the groundnuts and transfer into a new bowl.
  • Add Chilli powder, Besan, cornflour, Asafoetida water and salt in the above bowl.
  • Mix it well.
  • Deep fry a fistful of Masala Coated nuts in hot oil till it turns to golden brown color.
  • Sieve and spread onto a colander or a tissue to drain the excess oil.
  • Serve with a cup of coffee or Masala Chai.
  • Store in an air tight container once it is cooled.
