The Sesame Seed is a highly nutritious oil seed that has over a dozen health benefits which include strengthening hair, muscles, bones and also regulating cholesterol levles. Sesame seeds can be used in salads, to season dishes and breads.

But, having these in the form of a sweet snack to relish the light flavor of these seeds is an experience in itself.
RECIPE CARD FOR SESAME SEED (TIL) LADDU :
Sesame seeds are available in two colours: Black and White. You can pick your choice and make this quick snack.
INGREDIENTS:
- Kasturi Sesame(Til) Seeds (White/Black): 1/2 kg
- Kasturi Jaggery : 1/4 kg
- Cardamom Powder: 1 tea spoon
- Ghee
METHOD:
- Wash the Kasturi Til seeds and air dry them on a dry cloth..
- Dry roast the seeds until you get a light whiff of their aroma. Allow this to cool and meanwhile prepare a caramel to make the laddoos.
- Add 1/2 cup of water to the jaggery in a vessel and boil in low flame.
- Once the jaggery starts melting down, start heating it on a higher flame.
- Turn the flame off when a thick syrup or caramel is formed.
- Add a pinch of cardamom powder to this syrup and breathe in the lingering aroma.
- To this syrup, add add the roasted til.
- Smear you palms with ghee and gently make small round balls.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
- Store in air tight container.
- Consume within a month of preparation
