BALANCED DIET:

A balanced diet is one which has an equal balance of all the nutrition in the quantity that the body needs. Our Body needs a balanced amount of Protein, Carbohydrates, Fat, Vitamins, Minerals, Fiber with a good hydration to work well.

  • Proteins help to develop and repair muscles in our body. For growing children Proteins are the building blocks of the body. Protein is known to be found in meat and Dairy. But, Pulses and food grains are the main source of plant-based protein:
    • Pulses like Gram: Green Gram or Moong, Black Gram, Peas, White Beans, Kidney Beans
