GULAB JAMUN CAKE

If Gulab Jamun has always been your favorite sweet, then you must try the Gulab Jamun Cake. Yes!! Having a baked version of your favorite sweet could be one of the best indulgences ever and to believe this, you must try it out!!

INGREDIENTS FOR GULAB JAMUN CAKE:

  • Instant Gulab Jamun Mix 3/4th cup
  • Kasturi Powdered Sugar 3/4th cup
  • Kasturi Maida 3/4th cup
  • Cardamom powder 1tsp
  • Milk 1/2 cup
  • Cream 1/2 cup
  • Vegetable oil 1/4 cup
  • Vanilla Essence 1tsp
  • Rose essence (rose water) 1tsp
  • Baking Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Baking Soda 1/4 tsp

You can also add a half cup of milk powder and add a quarter cup of water in place of the cream.

PROCEDURE TO PREPARE GULAB JAMUN CAKE:

  • Preheat the oven at 180°C for 10 mins and simultaneously prepare the batter.
  • Prepare the cake tin by greasing it with vegetable oil and dusting it with Maida.
  • In a bowl, Sieve and sift all the dry ingredients
  • In another bowl, take the powdered sugar, milk, cream, vegetable oil and mix well till the sugar dissolves.
  • Add Vanilla essence and Rose water and mix well.
  • Add the flour into the wet ingredients slowly and mix well.
  • Add the Baking powder and Baking soda and mix it in.
  • Bake the cake at 180°C for 10 minutes and 140°C for 30 minutes.
  • Check for baked cake using the toothpick.
  • Once baked, allow to cool and toss it over to de-mould the cake.
