HEALTHY MASALA MAJJIGE

In this post, we present to you, a wonder drink!! One that you can make in a jiffy, to have on a scorching summer afternoon. All you need is the right blend of a few spices just to avoid indulging in the otherwise buttermilk soda that is topped with chunky chaat masala!!

To make the powder for this healthy drink, you will need only 3 ingredients:

  • Kasturi Methi seeds: 1 spoon
  • Kasturi Jeera: 2 spoons
  • Kasturi Flaxseeds: 3 spoons

Let us look into the benefits of these seeds!!

Methi or Fenugreek seeds has a lot of medicinal use and helps in relief from cough, asthma and rheumatism. The powder of these seeds helps during dysurea, constipation and lumbago.

Jeera or Cumin seeds is an essential ingredient in the list of Indian spices and is mainly known for its carminative effect. It also provides relief from nausea and vomiting.

Flaxseeds are a good source of protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals and are believed to help in keeping a lot of age-related diseases such as blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, etc. at bay.

Method of Preparation:

  • Gently dry roast the seeds one after the other until they turn aromatic
  • Transfer the seeds to a bowl, gently mix them.
  • Transfer the mixture of seed to a mixer and prepare the powder.
  • Store the powder in an airtight container.
  • Add the powder to you glass of curd or buttermilk to make a healthy drink for yourself.
  • You could also add a dash of our very special Kasturi Hing for that added zing and aromatic flavor.
