WELLNESS SOUP

Building our immunity is the need of the hour and the main focus should be on consuming nutritious food that will help build energy levels. A simple and nutritious soup, cooked out of your favorite vegetable could not only soothe your body but also your soul. Something to keep you warm, your throat moist, stay well hydrated, give you strength, boost immune system and keep other infections at bay is what a soup is all about. Soups are good for those who wish to work on their immunity and also for those who are on a Covid recovery diet.

SEASONING:

A dash of spices like the heavenly Kasturi Ajwain is perfect not only for your steam inhalation, but also to season your soups with.

Here, we have made some quick broccoli soup with a dash of Kasturi Ajwain and Kasturi jeera which lends it a mild mint like taste to soothe the throat and keep warm.

HOW TO MAKE:

  • Start with a seasoning of a pinch of Kasturi Ajwain and Kasturi Jeera. You can add a peppercorn as well.
  • Toss in your favorite vegetables(diced) and Cook until mushy.
  • Grind half of this into a paste and add it to the mushy veggies.
  • You can even grind the whole thing if you just want to drink your soup.
  • Add milk to obtain desired consistency.
  • Once this is off the gas, add salt to taste.

FOR COVID RECOVERY:

  • Strain the soup to make it easy for the person to swallow it.
  • Avoid milk and other dairy products for covid patients. Thin down the soup with just water.
  • Please consult your Physician before making any amendments to your diet.

Eating and staying healthy is a good diet choice. Also making sure that we make the right eating choices while living our sedentary lifestyle during lockdowns will also help us keep obesity at bay.
